Greetings from the Presidents![]() | |
| David Mitchell It is a joy to greet you in this Special edition of our magazine to mark the 150th Anniversary of our Association. Thank you - especially to those who are not preachers but who have said 'they are our preachers and therefore our responsibility' and by whose generosity we have be enabled to continue our work. It has been a privilege to have worked for LPMA as an Honorary Officer and now as President because I am confident that our Association has been raised by God as part of His providential care for His servants, the Local Preachers. This provides us all, not only with a privilege, but also a responsibility, for God always provides through the obedience and activity of His people (read the Book of Ruth to see this demonstrated!).
I am certain that the future of our work lies, not only in our Homes, but more in Care in the Community and in supporting Nursing Care and that this will move the onus of action from the centre to the local Branches. Our Organisation is rapidly becoming geared to providing the resources that will be needed at the Branches, quickly and efficiently, to enable us to continue to participate in this part of God's providential care.
| Revd Stuart Burgess Congratulations to LPMA as it celebrates its 15Oth Anniversary. It is an important milestone in the life of LPMA and worthy of celebration. I hope to take part in services of celebration in the Autumn and to visit an LPMA Home during my year of Office. On behalf of the Church, I offer you congratulations and thanks for all the work done in the name of LPMA. |
