"We urge the World Methodist Family on the first Sunday in Advent to join together to Pray for Peace in the name of the Prince of Peace in many tongues".

The World Methodist Council Executive meeting in Sydney agreed to call the World Methodist Family to pray together for peace on the 2 December 2007. The Bible verses associated with advent have peace and the recognition of Jesus as the "Prince of Peace" threaded within them but there are many resources to assist preachers on the World Methodist Council webiste at www.WorldMethodist.org
